Oily skin is very vulnerable to breakouts. 2. Stay away from carbohydrates. You don’t have to completely cut carbs out. But you do need to limit them so that they are only about 40 percent of your diet. This is because carbohydrates have compounds in them that can stimulate oil production. This is the reason that junk food has the reputation that it causes acne. In reality junk food just has a high carb content. 3. Try to drink green tea. If possible, drink the real stuff. Brewing the green tea is the best way to drink it. However, if you really don’t like it, then try the natural green tea drinks. Green tea will limit the creation of androgen. Androgen is a hormone that will cause your skin to breakout. 4. Limit your total intake of salt. Salt most always contains iodine. This being the reason table salt can be called “iodized salt.” Of course for some people with acne, iodine can cause big breakouts. In addition to watching your diet, you should carefully watch what you put on your face. If you have acne you are probably already more aware than most people of the ingredients in your beauty products. Those who are prone to acne should look for oil free moisturizers. These are least likely to cause a breakout. Consider switching over to mineral makeup. Many dermatologists believe that mineral makeup can actually alleviate acne problems and enhance the results of your acne diet.
