A Powerful, Natural Detox Plan

You don’t need to deprive yourself of food and drink in order to perform a detox diet. In fact, you’ll harm your body rather than do it any good if you do that. Instead, you just need to be eating and drinking healthier alternatives.

Instead of eating just 2 or 3 large meals a day, try eating 4-6 smaller meals ones. Do so at consistent times each day and look to have your largest meal in the morning as opposed to the late afternoon or evening.

Whether they’re canned, dried, fresh or frozen, fruits and vegetables are fundamental to a healthy detox diet. You should have five portions of them a day at a minimum.

Fruits that will benefit you that you can choose from include strawberries, tangerines, raspberries, pineapples, peaches, pomegranates, pears, melons, oranges, passion fruit, mangoes, kiwifruit, mandarins, limes, lemons dates, gooseberries, grapes, figs, chestnuts, currants, clementines, blackcurrants, cherries, blueberries, bananas, avocados, apples, blackberries, and apricots.

Vegetables to choose from include brussel sprouts, broad beans, broccoli, beetroot, asparagus, celery, carrots, cauliflower, cabbage, cress, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, gherkin, eggplant, green peppers, green beans, leeks, lettuce marrow, peas, potato, haricot beans, onion, parsnip, radish, pumpkin, rhubarb, red peppers, spinach, runner beans, swede, spring onions, turnips, sweet corn, yellow peppers and turnips.

As well as fruits and vegetables, increase your consumption of fibre, beans, seeds, and nuts. The following are ideal, particularly as healthy snacks: rice cakes, buckwheat, brown rice, quinoa, mung beans, pinto beans, chickpeas, lentils, kidney beans, millet, cashews, almonds, baked beans, cereal, walnuts, sesame seeds, flaxseed, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.

Finally, though they may not seem to be unhealthy, while on a detox diet you should try to avoid specific foods. Stay away from red meats, processed meats, pastries, bread, wheat, sugar and dairy products.
